Advanced Tier List
This Tier List includes all base forms and apex forms of all ships. | ||

You will notice that the greek alphabet of the apexes are color coded differently. While it is not necessary to memorize them to use this guide, it might be easier to identify them more quickly in later sections of the guide where only the apex is being mentioned without the apex's effects. Here are what the different color codes mean:
- Medium Gray - Main Weapon Apexes
- Magenta - Aura Apexes
- Green - Zen Apexes
Special Apexes
Special Apexes that are also underlined also have hidden main weapon changes that are on top of the Aura or Zen they change. They are as listed below:
- Phoenix Delta - Adds additional homing missiles
- Phoenix Beta - Adds additional homing missiles
- Sakura Phi - Tightens the spread of the Edge Projector main weapon from 11 swords to 7 swords
- Dragonfly Epsilon - Changes the Twin Miniguns main weapon to Twin Laserguns, which have a tighter spread with instantaneous travel speed like lasers
- Disaris Sigma - Adds a forward beam at the left side of Disaris
- Disaris Omega - Adds a forward beam at the left side of Disaris
Trivia: The hidden main weapon changes were actually supposed to be the only apex effect for an apex of Phoenix, Sakura and Dragonfly (since Disaris wasn't released at the point in time when apexes were first released). However, the devs decided last minute to make it an additional apex effect on top of these apexes rather than simply main weapon changes.

Value Tier
- Only applies to apexes .
- Measures the usefulness, effectiveness or how worth the apex is.
- Apex cost is disregarded, as a good but expensive apex is worth saving up for, while a mediocre but cheap apex is not likely to be worth an investment.
- Apex appearance is disregarded.
- If you are looking to buy an apex based on its appearance, then you don't need the ratings, just view the apexes yourself and decide what's good for you.
The letter grades of apex value are broken down as follows:
- X Tier - This apex is an excellent investment and a must-get for all players.
- S Tier - This apex's effects stand out very strongly, and either makes it very worthwhile for playstyle changes, or strongly aids the ship's playstyle.
- A Tier - This apex's effects can be felt often and to an extent you can feel it, but it's effects don't make for revolutionary new gameplay.
- B Tier - This apex's effects are niche and can only be felt sometimes or even rarely.
- C Tier - This apex's effects are pretty much useless.
- D Tier - This apex's effects are completely useless, or even negatively affects the ship
Cost vs Utility
- This rating is included for players who are struggling tight with finances and/or need a tiebreaker to decide between apexes of the same value.
- Some apexes are great but way too expensive, while other apexes are just small enhancements but are very cheap and thus worth it.
- Useful if you are just looking to spend a few spare credits on something that is cheap and fun.
- The Value Tier is more important than this rating, so please look at the apex's value first before deciding.
- General Rating:
- A more generic rating and no +/- ratings will be given, but will follow the standard used in this guide which are X, S, A, B and C.
- "A" will generally be the standard for most apexes , which means that this apex is worth spending on if you decide to go for it.
- Expensive apexes will generally not be assigned above an "A" rating for Cost vs Utility and are a bit more likely to belong to lower Cost vs Utility ratings such as "B" and "C".
- Likewise, cheap apexes will generally not be assigned "B" or "C" ratings and are a bit more likely to belong to higher Cost vs Utility ratings such as "S" or "X".
- However, for apex ratings of "S-" or above, as well as apexes with an apex rating of "C+" or below, this rule can be broken.
- A more generic rating and no +/- ratings will be given, but will follow the standard used in this guide which are X, S, A, B and C.
- Basically, this rating measures fun / practicality vs price.

Survivability Tier
Survivability is the reliability of a ship/apex to clear a mission of the daily mission type(s) it is strong against (usually using the Marshal rank missions as a base) or community mission, no matter how fast or slow it may be. Generally speaking, the higher the survivability tier, the lower the speedrunning tier. Survivability is primarily determined from:
- Controllability of the main weapon
- Capability of the ship, using all of its main weapon , Aura & Zen to pop off turrets
- Individual strengths of Aura and Zen
- Synergy between Main Weapon , Aura & Zen
- Some speed is also considered.
- If the ship/apex kills too slowly, it is also a bad thing.
- If damage is more easily dealt, it will be considered as part of survivability.
This tier also assumes that usage of the ship/apex is optimized, not to its fullest but at least well enough that you know how to follow the playstyle of the ship/apex. I do give some leeway if I feel that certain aspects of its playstyle are not something that is easy to grasp.
Since daily / specialist missions are different from community missions, each ship will have a separate survivability rating for daily / specialist missions and community missions.

Speedrunning Tier
This tier is purely determined by its average leaderboard standings across most skilled players, disregarding those who intentionally take it slow. This tier assumes that the ship/apex you are using is fully optimized, playing as aggressive as possible, since picking up a ship/apex for speedrunning means you intend to be a pro player and want to go fast.
Since daily / specialist missions are different from community missions, each ship will have a separate survivability rating for daily / specialist missions and community missions.

Fun Factor Tier
How fun the ship/apex is to play. Note that this tier is the most subjective as the definition of fun differs for different players. Take this rating with a grain of salt, and watch gameplay videos of the ship in action to see if it really suits you.
The way I quantify fun is through the following, all factors considered:
- Speedrunning ships/apexes are generally fun due to the adrenaline rush. Most speedrunning ships/apexes are of high fun factor tier.
- Main Weapon : Is it fun to use, or fun to watch/hear?
- In the usage aspect, perfect aiming or instant tracking main weapons are generally seen as boring.
- Very thin, straight, forward firing main weapons are also generally less fun because they are very frustrating to use.
- Some main weapons have very weird nuances to them such as having a mind of their own. They don't target what you want, which makes them frustrating to use.
- Although you can listen to the sounds of a ship's main weapon by using the preview button, but an Ultimate Level weapon can sometimes be very different from what is shown in the preview (which is at only level 1).
- Ship/Apex Main Weapon + Aura + Zen synergy
- Some combinations of all 3 or 2 of them go very well together and are very satisfying to pull off.
- If they compete against each other for damage, this makes the ship frustrating to play.
- The Aura or Zen itself. Some abilities are more fun than others.
- Vorpal Lance or Focus Lance are more fun because of the satisfying feel of piercing potentially tons of Invaders, and the sound of piercing is awesome to hear.
- Laser Storm is also fun as it's visually appealing and an Ultimate Laser Storm is very satisfying to hear.
- Clover ATS charging sound is just awesome.
- Missile Swarm and Mega Laser are considered neutral.
- This might be biased, but I generally consider Kappa Drive ships less fun, as the time slowdown when upgraded to Ultimate makes gameplay very draggy.
- Blast Damage Main Weapons : Always satisfying to watch other Invaders blow up together with the target you hit.
- Ships/Apexes with any form of AoE damage , like those with Reflex EMP , Mega Bomb , Vorpal Lance or Goliath Missile get more fun value.
- Ship Core Position: Some ships/apexes have more intuitive ship core positions than others, making it much easier to pilot. This is one of the factors with the least weight in consideration, unless it is of extreme noteworthy.
- Uniqueness Factor: These ships/apexes play very differently from other ships, and has certain unique characteristics. This factor is a small part of the consideration in the Fun Factor, but because some players want an experience that is entirely unique, a short separate tier list of worthy unique ships/apexes are detailed in this section.
- The aesthetics of a ship/apex is not a factor considered here because you can simply stare at it in the ship selection screen without even playing it. Some ships/apexes have moving or animated parts but you can simply use the Preview button to admire it all you like.
X: These ships/apexes are a must-get. Whether you just want fun, are aiming to clear missions or want to speedrun missions, these ships/apexes are guaranteed to feel really fun.
